Comprehensive Treatment Clinic
Comprehensive Treatment Clinic opened its doors in 1999 with Dr. Freestone and Dr. Hedelius being the only therapists working in the clinic. Since that time it has grown from an 800 square foot office with two clinical offices to a 4,000 square foot office with seven clinical offices, four full time therapists, one part time therapist and three support staff.
Comprehensive Treatment Clinic specialized in the treatment of addiction and trauma disorders. The clinical staff at the Comprehensive Treatment Clinic is dedicated to providing the highest quality and most comprehensive treatment available. We provide individual and group therapy for all addictive disorder and are involved in regular and ongoing training in order to stay at the cutting edge of addiction and trauma treatment. Dr. Freestone and Dr. Hedelius are members of the Society for Advancement of Sexual Health and provide regular training for different groups on both a state and national level. In addition to individual and group therapy we provide marital and family therapy.
At the Comprehensive Treatment Clinic we work hard to provide an atmosphere of healing from the very moment a potential patient calls our office. Dr. Hedelius
Dr. Matthew Hedelius is the Co-Owner and Director of Comprehensive Treatment Clinic. He holds an MSW degree in clinical social work and a Doctor of Psychology Degree. He is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Utah. He specialized in the treatment of addictive and trauma disorders. He has presented on a national basis in the area of sexual compulsivity. He has received specialized training in the areas of biofeedback and neurofeedback treatment. He loves teaching patients about the brain and identifying how to use this knowledge to facilitate healing. Dr. Hedelius is a member of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health. He is married and has nine children.

Carl J. Sorenson, MSW, CSW
Carl J. Sorenson, MSW, CSW was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received a bachelor of social work degree from the University of Utah and later a master of social work from Brigham Young University. He is currently a staff therapist and crisis worker at the Comprehensive Treatment Clinic in Logan, Utah. C.J. conducts individual, group, and family therapy with a particular emphasis on addiction and recovery. C.J. was recently married and looks forward to raising a family.

Dr. Freestone
Dr. A. Todd Freestone serves as the Clinical Director of inpatient and outpatient services for the Comprehensive Treatment Clinic in Logan, Utah. He is a Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, and holds a Doctor of Psychology Degree. He has been performing clinical work for 13 years. He is married and has 5 children. His specialties include: Sex specific treatment (compulsivity, offender and victim), other forms of addictive or compulsive disorders (Substance issues, gambling, theft, etc.), trauma and general mental health disorders. He is also a public speaker and trainer for the Cognitive-Neural Restructuring Therapy Treatment Model, developed at the Comprehensive Treatment Clinic.
